Hey dudes, Tommy here!

I just wanted to let everyone know how much of an amazing time I had this Easter! There was so much going on here at the LC with the colouring competition in my colouring corner and the Easter Bunnies parties on Easter Monday.

There were some pretty cool entries for the Design an Egg colouring competition and it took me a while to decide on a winner, but I must say a special mention to Alice who was the winner (I hope you enjoy your prize).

I had so much fun when I visited both the Easter Bunnies parties and there were some awesome outfits and Easter bonnets in the fancy dress competition. I hope you all enjoyed!

Keep an eye out on the events section of the website to see when my next party is taking place, it would be great if you could come again.

Overall I had a great Easter and I hope you’ll all come back to visit soon.

We hope everyone who came to our Easter Bunnies Parties on Monday had as much fun as Tommy did!

He didn't stop going on about how much fun he had and how hard it was for him to choose the best dressed for the fancy dress competitions! He said that everyone looked fantastic and was so happy that so many of you came.

He also heard about how much fun everyone had with the Easter Egg Hunt around the room and with all the party games that were played.

He's looking forward to the next party and hope's to see you all there!

Winners and highly commended businesses for the Swansea area were announced on Thursday 22nd November at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea. It was the biggest awards to date with over 430 people from all over the Swansea area attending.

The awards are to celebrate the quality and innovation in Swansea Bay's tourism, leisure and hospitality industry.

Here at the LC we were very pleased and honored to be nominated for 2 awards:

Best activity or attraction and best visitor experience.

It was a fantastic evening and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, especially when the awards were announced and we were voted Highly Commended for both awards.

We would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who voted for us.

The LC is pleased to announce that Jake, from Ysgol Lon Las, has won this year's LC Christmas Banner competition! There was some very tough competition from pupils across Swansea, however, Jake's banner stood out by being very colourful, Christmassy and an excellent picture of Santa as a lifeguard.

The banner can now be seen outside the LC by every single passing motorist and pedestrian. It promotes the LC's Christmas Splash.

The LC would like to congratulate Jake and everyone else who entered, as we were overwhelmed by the high standard of entries. Jake has won a free trip to the LC for his entire class!

Since it's humble beginnings in Australia, Movember has grown to become a global charity event inspiring more than 1.9 million MoBros to participate in many countries all around the world.

Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousand's of men's faces during the month of November. The aim of Movember is to raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

For the second year running many of the LC Swansea members of staff have taken part in Movember (as you probably guessed) and have been in competition with each other to see who could raise the most money and who could grow the best moustache.

As we get closer to that special time of year the pace gathers and list of things to do and buy just seems to get longer and longer.

There's the school nativity play and the Christmas concerts, office parties and Christmas shopping. Every year there are some people who are so organised they have completed all their Christmas shopping by the beginning of November, wrapped it, labeled it and hidden it somewhere in the bedroom or the attic. Then there are the rest of us who are rushing around the shops on the last weekend before Christmas, trying to find presents for the whole family and queuing in those never ending queues just to get some wrapping paper and cards. Then once we realise we can't find any presents we jump in the car and wait in queues of traffic just to get home, it's safe to say by the time your home there's no festive feeling left, so we pop the kettle on and pull out the laptop to start the shopping all over again. After looking through an endless amount of websites you finally find that one gift you think they'll love, then it's all down to waiting for the postman to deliver it so you can wrap it, place it under the tree and
begin to feel festive again.

With all this taken into account, Christmas can be a tough time, the pressure of finding the perfect present alone is huge, not to mention cooking Christmas dinner for the whole family.
