Tommy’s Tale…
Tommy the Turtle took up residence in the LC in April 2009. Tommy is a fairly young turtle at 109 years old and was born in Turtle Town in Maui, Hawaii.
Tommy migrated to our cooler climates when he heard that Swansea’s premier waterpark was opening its doors in 2008 - It took Tommy 11 months to reach the Swansea Coast!!!
Tommy felt at home instantly at the LC and with his Hawaiian routes immediately became a pro on The Boardrider. (Help Tommy find his surfboard - Tommy's Lost Surfboard!
Tommy is quite shy and takes some coaxing out of his shell but he loves visiting the waterpark to see everyone having fun, so keep an eye out for him on your next visit and you might just be lucky enough to spot him!! (Try out Tommy's Dot-to-Dot!)

Did you know…?
o Some turtles can go up to a year without food! Not Tommy though – he is a frequent visitor of the LC Poolside Bistro!
o Turtles have been on earth for more than two-hundred million years! o Turtles can protect themselves by pulling their bodies inside their shells. (Colour in Tommy & his shell!)
o Turtles live on every continent except Antarctica.
o Sea turtles can swim up to 35 miles an hour – Tommy is an expert swimmer and has some tips on how to stay safe in the water – Tommy Tips!
